MTTCC #51 Theme is Favorite Technique used on your Christmas card

Happy New Year from MTTCC's design team!

Welcome to Theme #51= use your Favorite Technique!

It must be a Christmas/winter holiday card and please indicate in your posting what the technique used is and why it's a favorite.

Techniques: creative folds for your base, ink splatters/smooshing, stenciling, painting, watercolor, stamping, paper-piecing, etc.

Competition runs from January 6-19, 2023  with start and end times set at 12:00am CT/Chicago or 6:00am UK.

Bragging rights are possible for either a Top 3 or a Top 5 depending on the number of entries. My Time To Craft Christmas is looking for Christmas/winter holiday based cards using our selected theme.

Main launch design inspiration from the team:

Mags B

I love using PATTERNED PAPERS, and I have used PAPER PIECING as a change from just making backgrounds.  Also, it's easy to make two-for-one!

Card 1

Card 2

Helen - digi stamp colored with Promarkers and using patterned papers because I find coloring relaxing and love putting designs together with different selections of patterned papers

Granmargaret
My favorite is to use pre-colored digi stamps and pattern papers with sketches

Becca
One of my favorite techniques is painting, especially trying different methods of painting. For this card, the lasered wood veneer was painted gray and then I brushed on 2 top layers--1 of silver glitter paint and the 2nd in gold glitter paint. The panel to which that was adhered was painted differently by smearing some gray acrylic paint for the base layer and then dabbing dots or lines of the gold glitter paint and silver glitter paint.

Meena Herale with a Christmas Tree Ornament
I love creating articles using chalk paints and here I have used gold gliding  and stripping technique which is one of my favorite technique and I love it coz it a awesome visual effect on items.

Thanks ladies for keeping your creative talents flowing into the new year!

Excellent variety!

MTTCC #31 Technique to Use 3 or more Patterned Papers on Christmas card

No April Fool's for me! I have snow at my house! Incredible! Daffodils and crocus have already bloomed. Tulips are coming up. So are the summer tiger lilies. Oh my!

Might as well get everyone interested in making Christmas cards!

MTTCC's #31 Theme=
April 1-April 14, 2022
is not a topic but a technique or format requirement to use 3 or more patterned papers on a Christmas card. This challenge begins April 1, 2022. You, the participant, can pick the Christmas topic (reindeer, Santa, elves, gifts, stockings, wreath, etc.)! What will you choose?

The MTTCC design team has been creatively brilliant and resourceful crafting their inspiration projects.

Granmargaret used 4 pattern papers

Becca (snowy night sky card 1; using 3 prints)

Becca (snowy night sky card 2; using 3 prints)

Mags B card 1

6 papers (including the Gnome's nose!)

Mags B Card 2
5 papers

Meenaa Herale
Bookmark ( used 4 types of pattern papers)

Aren't these excellent inspiration for showing the variety of Christmas/wintery patterned papers/cardstocks that are available and how we can use them!!! Superb!

Now it's your turn to find time to craft Christmas!

What 3 or more patterned papers do you have to mix and match? Join us by using the Inlinkz tool address posted below. Competition runs from April 1, 2022 starting at 6 am UK (12 am Central Time/Chicago) and ending also at 6am UK/12 am Central Time/Chicago on April 14, 2022.
